It might be a local dairy farm or that field of Christmas trees. Or maybe it’s the pasture where you once took your kids to see the horses. One by one, our farms are disappearing.Here in New England, we’ve lost more than 20 percent of our farmland—nearly one million acres—in the past 20 years. At this rate, every last acre will have vanished in about 80 years. All of it. Gone forever.
